Bei Frauen häufiger als bei Männern Schwere Nebenwirkungen durch Krebstherapien
Das Risiko für schwerwiegende unerwünschte Ereignisse im Zuge einer onkologischen Behandlung ist für Frauen größer als für Männer.1

Rückblick über 40 Jahre
Das gilt nach einem Review mit über 23.000 Patientendaten aus 202 Studien zu verschiedenen Krebsformen (ohne geschlechtsspezifische Krebsarten), die in den letzten 40 Jahren durchgeführt wurden – für Chemotherapien, zielgerichtete Therapien und vor allem für Immuntherapien.
Die Forschenden stellten fest, dass das Risiko für schwerwiegende unerwünschte Ereignisse (SUE) bei Frauen um 34% höher war als bei Männern. Bei der Immuntherapie stieg dieser Wert gar auf 49% an. Das Review wurde im Journal of Clinical Oncology veröffentlicht 1.
