AdipositasMedikamente nähern sich Effektstärken der Chirurgie an
Die Pharmakotherapie der Adipositas hat in Deutschland ein schlechtes Image. „Selbst recht wirksame Medikamente wie der GLP1-Rezeptoragonist Liraglutid werden nur von einigen 1.000 Menschen genommen“, berichtete Prof. Dr. Matthias Blüher, Mitglied im Vorstand der Deutschen Adipositas Gesellschaft, beim Diabetes Kongress in Berlin. Potentere GLP1-Rezeptoragonisten sowie duale und gar 3-fache Inkretin-Agonisten könnten die Situation verändern.1

Für die medikamentöse Therapie der Adipositas stehen in Deutschland bereits einige Optionen zur Verfügung. Der Lipasehemmer Orlistat, das Kombinationspräparat Naltrexon/Buproprion sowie die GLP1-Rezeptoragonisten Liraglutid und – seit kurzem – Semaglutid sind zugelassen, müssen aber von Patientinnen und Patienten selbst bezahlt werden.
